‘Congrats on your unbiased comparison’

This is in response to Danny White’s Feb. 3 letter. There are a couple things I’d like to debate with you. First, I’d like to commend you on your completely unbiased comparison of “Tea Baggers” to the Taliban. Using your standard for comparison we could add other “extremist groups attempting to cause a major disruption to the lifestyles of most Americans,” to the category. Radical extremist groups like the civil rights protesters in the 1960s, the abolitionists in the mid-1800s, or even those men who founded our great republic. You are critical of propaganda yet you engage in it yourself.
Next you criticize and belittle free-market economics. Have the statist economic policies that have ravaged our economy for over a century (regardless of whatever party was in power) not proven to you that Keynesianism and central planning cause the boom and bust of the business cycle we’re now experiencing? Forget about the economy, do you understand the ramifications these policies have on freedom? You’re so hung up on punishing the “rich” that you forget that best way to help the poor is to allow for them to be as free as possible. And you can’t have freedom without free-markets.
