:I am writing in response to the column "House-hunting presents stress for students" that ran on Nov. 14. I have a stress-free solution for students, namely freshman and sophomores, who are sick of trying to find good housing. Cooperative Housing is the best option I have found. There are 7 women's houses and 5 men's. A major advantage is that most houses are a closer walk to campus than the dorms. Another great reason to live in a Cooperative House is that it's affordable. Members pay rent which includes most living expenses-yes, including utilities and food. I know, you are saying, "Food is included?" Yes my friends, food. Good, home-cooked food. All this for only about $310-$350 a month, depending on the house. If you want more information about it, check out www.purduecooperatives.org. It's the best housing option I've found and I have never regretted it!
