Gas prices, bicycle sales continue to rise
Riding bicycles and carpooling are some of the ways Purdue students and faculty are coping with the all-time high in gasoline prices at almost $4 a gallon.
"For some people, the commute to work is necessary and this makes it hard to reduce gasoline use," said Kevin Mumford, professor in the department of economics at Purdue.
Samantha Gonzalez, a graduate of the College of Consumer and Family Sciences, agreed.
