Beginning Friday, healthy students will be able to receive an H1N1 flu vaccination.

According to Purdue spokeswoman Jeanne Norberg, about 8,900 doses of the H1N1 vaccine will be available to all priority groups Friday. The vaccine will be administered from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. on weekdays at the Purdue University Student Health Center.

Priority groups include pregnant women, caregivers for children under 6 months, individuals with underlying health conditions that put them at risk for complications of flu-related illnesses, health and emergency medical personnel and healthy people under the age of 24.

Norberg said details on vaccinations and the process will be released this week.
